SAW Flux Agglomerated High Basicity F8A4, 25 kg Bag
High-basicity agglomerated SAW flux, AWS F8A4, for pressure vessel and structural steel requiring low-hydrogen, high toughness deposits.
Product Overview
High basicity index (~2.0–2.5) agglomerated flux for low-hydrogen SAW on high-strength and pressure vessel steels. F8A4 classification: 80 ksi tensile deposits with impact toughness to −40°C. Meets requirements under ASME Sec. II SFA-5.17 and EN ISO 14174 for pressure vessel fabrication. Pairs with EH14 wire for high-deposition structural applications.
Mandatory drying before use — 350°C for 2 hours minimum. Suitable for ASME VIII pressure vessel fabrication welding procedures requiring CVN qualification at −40°C.
